Newsflash for 2010 Funding
In an effort to deal with the financial “tsunami” that has affected
global economies and has resulted in a major asset decline of our
foundation’s portfolio, the foundation is taking the following step for
its 2010 grant making:
We will support the continuance of existing programs/projects, but we will not fund new programs or projects
We will continue to make operating support grants
We will look for grants that show collaboration with other nonprofits
During 2009, we received 106 LOIs requesting $1,619,739. We funded 68
full proposals for a total of $781,213.96. Our grants were made in the
following areas: Education 23%, Human and Social Services 62%, Cultural
Enrichment / Fine Arts 15%.
